[He smiles, but...Atem's right to read tension off of him. Ryou's not upset, but he is concerned, and that concern manifests at the very tip of his tail. Ryou can't really control the color shift, but he seems to be trying to suppress it. The purple situates itself at the very tip of his tail, like a candle's flame.]

...Truthfully, I did want to do something kind for you. I feel as if I could do better with those kinds of gestures lately. And...maybe it'll give us time to sit down and talk for a while.
