Beat, slow down! Which vacuums? What do you mean, they "work" on monsters? If you mean the Haftestal CUC ones, of course they do...don't they just launch the monsters they catch into the sky? I saw a few people go flying in February...

We had a plan yo... The vacuums, we stole em from Haftesal an decided to test em out today on the fog in the park 'round our place. Swhy I toldchu to keep you an yers away. We knew they could suck the Fog up but we wanted to make sure no one else got in the crossfire.

I dunno how Javert found out where we was, though I guess those vacuums make a shit ton of noise. Suddenly he was there an' threatenin' us

What you need to watch out for is being arrested. If Javert catches you, he's the one with the keys to La Forteresse, and its Punitive Director's playground. How much do you know about AM, and the prison?

The prison was designed to suppress monsters' abilities. It doesn't work perfectly, you won't be there forever, but I knew one person who went back to the Sea of Souls before he was released. But not before AM worked on him. He's a Fog priest who's been here a very long time, so even though we've fought, I can't say I know the extent of his powers. He's a torturer and a sadist. The prison keeps him busy, so he doesn't turn his attention to other monsters outside of it...usually. He'll take advantage of it if he catches you in a vulnerable position, but he doesn't start fights out of nowhere. But I've seen what he does to the people he gets his hands on. And, without powers...

No kidding...I don't like it. Usually, becoming mist is a safe retreat...I can't hurt anyone, but no one can hurt me! It's unsettling, knowing that's not the case. Usually, all I have to worry about is silver... Anyway, if you do end up in La Forteresse, give me a call. I'll help you, whatever it takes. But try not to. The Punitive Director's a formidable enemy!

Tell me what you find out... The thing is, if this gets out, there's some Fog followers who might assume they were built purposefully to kill monsters. A lot of Fog followers and even some neutrals really have it in for that city, and if they have an excuse to go in guns blazing, they'll take it...and the ordinary people living there will get caught in that. So, the sooner we can find out what happened with the vacuum, and why it was fatal, the better.

cuz i aint gonna risk that they actually anti-monster weapons

i dont care if the peeps there all seemin like they wanna help monsters

i dont wanna see the place get ripped either cuz you right theres just normal peeps down there livin their lives

if it turns out that shit jus cuz javert fogged up an the vac got confused then its gonna get changed so it dont happen
